Time of Equipping

Romans 5:1-5
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
Rejoice if you are going through difficult times in your life…

Rejoice if people backstab you…

Rejoice if people bad-mouth you…

Rejoice if people tear you down in your face…

Rejoice if you are trying so hard to be more and more Christ-like, and it feels so painful and humbling…

Rejoice even if you got a job you hate.

For God is equipping you.

Remember the story of the man pushing the boulder and the boulder never moved? The boulder did not move, but he was now a stronger man. And with that developed strength, God could send him out to handle big tasks straight away.

Apparently not doing anything that shows results?

Take heart, be patient. The Lord is with you.

I like the song in the movie Nemo, sung by Dory the Regal Blue Tang…

Hey Mr Grump Gills
You know what you gotta do when life gets you down?
Just keep swimming
Just keep swimming
Just keep swimming swimming swimming
What do we do we swim, swim, swim

If you are not 100% sure if the path you chose is what God wants you to take,
You can be 100% sure that God is with you 100% of the time.

Proverbs 16:9
A man’s heart plans his way,
But the Lord directs his steps.
